A New Building for 2026 and a High-Quality Early Childhood Education Center

In 2026, thanks to supporters like you, we’ll open a new, larger building that will be shared by The Family Place and The Family Place Public Charter School—one that will serve as a welcoming community hub for more DC families. This new space will allow us to expand our two-generation, two-agency approach, providing more parents with essential educational programs like ESL, Foundations of Literacy, and the Child Development Associate (CDA) certification, while offering their children enriching early learning opportunities.

Your end-of-year gift will be central to establishing a bigger and higher-quality Early Childhood Education Center for ages 0-5. Our enhanced center will feature stimulating activity zones, learning and play areas, and all the necessary accommodations to support each child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development. More children in our program will have the opportunity to develop crucial skills like early literacy, problem-solving, social-emotional awareness, and fine motor coordination, ensuring they’re prepared to enter school on par with their peers. As a bilingual Early Childhood Program, we’re committed to making sure all our student’s children entrusted to our care are set up for success.

Our Growing Impact: A Vision for the Future

Through October 2024, TFP has provided critical services to over 1,240 families, primarily from the Latino community, and supported 166 children through our programs. In 2025, we will focus on the construction and preparation of our new building. With the completion of the facility in 2026, we anticipate expanding our reach by 50%, delivering transformative services to over 600 additional families in just the first year. Our goal is to build a thriving community where every child and family has the resources they need to succeed and grow.

For families like Gloria Elsa Cerros, one of our CDA students, and her children, having access to our programs has been life-changing. As Gloria shared, “I’m grateful to TFP for their support while I’m in class. Their assistance in caring for our children is invaluable and allows us to focus on our education.” With this new project, even more mothers like Gloria will have the chance to pursue their studies and professional growth while knowing their children are in a safe, nurturing environment.

Join Us in Building Brighter Futures

We invite you to join us as we prepare to open these new doors for our community. Your year-end gift will help us complete this new center and expand programs to reach more families in need.Thank you for helping us build a brighter future for two generations!
